About Bigmouth Mentoring
Welcome to Bigmouth Mentoring
Welcome to Bigmouth Mentoring! We are dedicated to empowering young individuals aged 7 to 25 through personalized mentoring that addresses their unique needs. Our program, founded by Stuart, a Senior Lead at one of Surrey County Council’s leading alternative providers for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), is designed to fill a crucial gap in support during non-term time, evenings, and weekends.
Stuart played a key role in setting up and volunteering for Guildford Action’s Big Brother Big Sister mentoring scheme. His ability to communicate effectively with youth—often described as a superpower—enables him to connect with them in meaningful ways, fostering trust and openness.
We understand that many young people face significant challenges, including neurodivergence, low self-esteem, and confidence issues. Additionally, many encounter executive functional difficulties, which can affect their ability to plan, organize, and execute tasks. These challenges may include struggles with planning and organization, time management, working memory issues, emotional regulation, flexibility, and self-monitoring.
At Bigmouth Mentoring, we are committed to providing a supportive environment where these individuals can thrive. Our tailored approach focuses on building self-confidence, developing social skills, and helping young people navigate the complexities of life, including strategies to overcome executive functional difficulties. Together, we can empower the next generation to reach their full potential!
